Our post-flood facilities and collections are distributed between Hamilton and Sinclair libraries. Currently, we have map cases in both the libraries.
Plans for enclosing a physical Manoa MAGIS center are well underway. Meanwhile, the Science & Technology Department has in the "fishbowl" area, a PC equipped with ArcGIS 9.2; we do have ESRI data also available.
The center will have two or three PCs equipped with ArcGIS 9.2, GoogleEarth and other software; along with a Map and Aerial Photograph Browsing and Reference area.
Manoa MAGIS has a state of the art (image here) HP 820 MFP (Multifunction Peripheral) that allows the center to print, scan and copy maps and poster size material that can be up to 42 inches in width. The printer will also have its own dedicated PC to batch jobs as necessary. The MFP is primarily for Manoa MAGIS users. However, Library departments and other on-campus departments will be able to use these services. Details, including charges are forthcoming. Please note that while we can certainly use the MFP, there is no staff dedicated to run the machine.
